The Access is the entry level model in the Clio Renault Sport R3 range. It allows amateur drivers to get behind the wheel of a safe, sporty and reliable car for a per-kilometer running-cost of just 17 Euros.

Clio Renault Sport R3 Access shares all the characteristics of big sister, the Maxi version, with a Clio Renault Sport Shell reinforced by a welded roll cage. The clutch and Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox assembly with its limited-slip differential and steering wheel mounted controls are also shared with Clio Renault Sport R3 Maxi. The 1998cc, 16-valve in-line 4 cylinder engine is based on the F4R RS which equips Clio Renault Sport. It develops 200bhp and features a special camshaft, exhaust manifold and flywheel. Designed exclusively for racing on tarmac, Clio Renault Sport R3 Access uses the axles from the production model with reinforced struts on the front axle.

So that customer can adapt the car to their changing performance requirements and budget, the Clio Renault Sport R3 Access kit can be upgraded with the Premium kit (chassis, brakes and engine), which gives it the same specification as the Maxi version.
