And thankful for the Danish fans´ support. It was a bubbly Christian Bakkerud, who could report back on the DTM qualification session at Nürburgring before the race Sunday afternoon.

It went exactly as hoped, putting his Team Kolles Audi on 18. spot; Christian was the fastest 2007 driver, beating his two teammates and close to the newer 2008 cars. But most importantly, he was thrilled to see his Danish fans wave the national Danish flag with his name on it!
“Yes that did actually turn out quite well. I think that we should be able to beat Stoddart in the 2008 car, but despite that I am relatively satisfied. Even if we found extra time in the car, it would still only be one spot or two.”

“The car is really okay, and I am pretty sure that we will benefit when we race the long stints on the same set of tires. We have got the speed over the distance.”
“I expect that the race will be tough. It’s going to be a hot and hard race, due to the temperatures and humidity. But actually that is right up my alley; I am very fit and used to the temperatures.”

“But most importantly a big thank you to my fans; it is the first time that I have seen a Danish national flag with my name all over it. Usually Tom Kristensen´s name is in front of mine, but this flag is all mine. It is an awesome feeling, and I want the guys who brought it to know that I have seen it!”
“I just want you Danish fans to know, that I have seen you guys. And it makes me so happy!”
The race starts Sunday afternoon at 14.03.
